Fountain Install Technician Job Description

About the Job:

Pepsi Bottling Ventures is seeking a skilled Fountain Install Technician to join our team. As a Fountain Install Technician, you will be responsible for installing fountain, coffee, tea, coolers, and frozen drink equipment in new and existing accounts, ensuring accurate accounting of all Pepsi-owned assets and meeting customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install fountain, coffee, tea, coolers, and frozen drink equipment in new and existing accounts.
  • Install plumbing and electrical cross-connects.
  • Install necessary tubing through walls, ceilings, basements, crawl spaces, conduits, and attics.
  • Provide "Service that Sells" by working with customers to ensure we are meeting their needs and keeping them informed of progress.
  • Clean and remove all debris from customer locations.
  • Troubleshoot and inspect the installation of fountain equipment.
  • Adjust valves, carbonators, controls, and gauges.
  • Load necessary equipment onto trucks in a safe manner.
  • Inspect all inbound/outbound equipment for safety and gross defects.
  • Perform necessary administrative tasks, including customer billing, equipment move orders, parts replenishment, Vehicle Condition Report (VCR), install checklists, and all required paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Ensure necessary materials and supplies are ordered and on hand at all times.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local guidelines for fountain equipment.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum two years' experience in beverage equipment repair or related fields (small appliance, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration).
  • Coursework in aforementioned fields may substitute for experience.
  • Valid driver's license and meet PBV driving guidelines.
  • Travel daily to assigned accounts. Overnight travel may be required.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Work hours necessary to complete assigned tasks.
  • Proficient understanding of electrical components, plumbing, board-level schematics, electronics troubleshooting, mechanics, and refrigeration.
  • Possess knowledge and understanding of vending and fountain equipment repairs and parts.
  • Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, and procedures to promote security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
  • Ability to grasp and understand the functionality of SAP, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to learn and provide excellent customer service.
  • Coaching capabilities and ability to train others.
