RN Charge Med Surg FT Nights Position Summary

As a Charge Nurse on our Med-Surg unit, you will play a vital role in coordinating the functions and activities of our team. This is a full-time, night shift position that requires strong leadership and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate scheduling efforts for the unit RNs
- Act as liaison person to internal and external customers
- Develop and implement plans/processes for meeting regulatory requirements
- Train and mentor staff
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to effectively implement change and assist with the management of departmental budget
- Ability to independently make decisions in high-stress situations
We are looking for a candidate with:
- Nursing Degree from an accredited nursing school
- Minimum of two years relevant clinical nursing experience
- Management experience with two years supervisory
You will need to hold:
- License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Arizona
- CPR certification
- ACLS certification (as applicable by Facility/by Department)
