Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Unlicensed Dental Assistant to join our team at Clear Lakes Dental in Richfield, MN. As a key member of our dental team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dentists and hygienists.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with preparing patients for treatment, sterilizing instruments, and setting up exam rooms.
  • Retrieve and record patient vital signs, and prepare instruments and equipment for procedures.
  • Perform procedures such as pouring stone models and preparing cases for the lab.
  • Record treatment information in patient records, documenting notes and charting treatment plans.
  • Provide chair assistance during oral surgical procedures, operating suction equipment, and disinfecting the operative area.
  • Sterilize the operatory room between patients and prepare the operatory for the next patient.
  • Clean and maintain equipment and work areas.
  • Assist with infection control by sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, setting up instrument trays, and preparing materials.
  • Apply topical medications as prescribed by a dentist.
  • Provide post-operative care instructions as directed by the dentist.
  • Record patient preferences for pharmacy services.
  • Ensure that all carts and cabinets are stocked daily.
  • Assist in completing daily, weekly, and monthly checklists with other dental assistants.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of customer service experience.
  • Desire to learn about the dental industry.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Attention to detail, well-organized, and reliable.
  • Bilingual in Spanish, Somali, Oromo, or Hmong is a plus.

Compensation: $16.00 per hour, plus an unlimited bonus program.

Work Schedule: 8:45 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. CST, with a 1-hour lunch break at 1:00 p.m.
