Job Title: Internal Medicine Physician

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Internal Medicine Physician to join our team at CVCH. As an Internal Medicine Physician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical conditions, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive and continuous medical care services within the scope of internal medicine, including non-clinic sites such as nursing homes, patient homes, school-based clinics, mobile clinics, and tele-health settings.
  • Consult with other clinic providers, either in person or by telephone, to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in shared call systems with other providers and hospital duties, as required by hospital medical staff privileges and membership expectations.
  • Develop and utilize practice guidelines and procedures, and participate in audits to meet CVCH Quality Improvement and Risk Management programs.
  • Accurately and timely document patient records and complete billing documents.
  • Perform minor outpatient procedures, as permitted by CVCH privileges.
  • Provide patients and family members with counseling and education regarding health maintenance, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
  • Verify and document that patients understand their diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
  • Provide clinical supervision and training to ancillary healthcare staff to ensure quality care for CVCH patients.
  • Maintain credentials essential for practice, including licensure, certification, and CME.
  • Attend all required staff meetings, provider meetings, and participate in CVCH committees, as directed by the Medical Director.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited allopathic or osteopathic medical school with a degree of Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy.
  • Board Eligible/Certified in Internal Medicine.
  • Current, valid unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Washington or eligible to obtain licensure.
  • Valid DEA license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Experience working in a community health center or managed care environment, preferably with experience in delivering services to medically underserved populations.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish, preferred.
