The Clinical Education Coordinator plays a vital role in nurturing the skills of caregiving personnel through effective application of the care delivery framework and nursing practices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conducts orientation sessions, in-service training, CPR instruction, and ongoing educational initiatives to align with organizational objectives.
  • Ensures adherence to orientation protocols and standards.
  • Acts as a professional role model and mentor for staff.
  • Completes and submits necessary documentation for educational programs, maintaining accurate unit records.
  • Assists with assigned educational projects and initiatives.
  • Contributes to the evolution of the healthcare delivery system by promoting innovative practices and educational strategies.
  • Engages in Quality Improvement efforts.
  • Supports initiatives that aim to enhance the health and well-being of the community served.

PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs and frequently lift and/or carry up to 25 lbs. The ability to frequently lift or carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds is often more critical than the capacity to lift heavier weights. Standing and/or walking for at least 6 hours during an 8-hour workday is required. Many medium-duty occupations in the national economy are not primarily performed in a seated position. Frequent stooping and crouching are necessary, along with regular handling and grasping of materials. Fine manipulation may be required occasionally.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

A current RN license in the State of New Jersey or Pennsylvania is mandatory, depending on the work location. A Bachelor's degree is required, while a Master's degree is preferred. BLS Instructor certification is also preferred.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

A minimum of 3 years of current clinical nursing experience is required. BLS Instructor certification must be obtained within one year of hire.
