JOB DESCRIPTION

The Quality Assurance Leader is tasked with the strategic planning, organization, and direction of the Quality Department to fulfill the objectives of the company, all while adhering to relevant regulatory frameworks and standards applicable to the manufacturing environment. This role serves as the primary Quality Representative.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish, implement, and maintain the necessary processes for the quality management system.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of the quality management system, identifying areas for enhancement.
  • Promote awareness and understanding of regulatory and customer requirements across the organization.
  • Regularly assess and update the quality management system to ensure its effectiveness.
  • Engage with customers regarding compliance with product specifications.
  • Contribute to achieving quality operational goals by providing insights and analyses of strategic initiatives; preparing and executing action plans; identifying and resolving issues; conducting audits; and implementing system improvements.
  • Ensure product quality through systematic audits, investigation of customer feedback, and collaboration with other management personnel as necessary.
  • Represent the organization professionally in interactions with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Oversee, plan, direct, and manage the resources of the regional quality assurance team to ensure optimal use of resources within budgetary constraints and quality standards.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES/SKILLS

  • High School diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • Fluency in English and Spanish (preferred).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Understanding of metrology (preferred).
  • Able to thrive in high-pressure situations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Familiarity with contemporary quality methodologies, including Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
