Meat Associate

This role is responsible for working independently to prepare, package, display, and stock meat products, ensuring the financial best interest of the store is met. The successful candidate will also be responsible for meeting company guidelines for guest experience, safety, and food safety.
Key Responsibilities- Meat Product Preparation: Prepare and produce meat products to meet production planner requirements.
- Product Packaging: Package and label meat products according to program plans.
- Merchandising: Merchandise meat products according to flight plans and merchandising expectations.
- Inventory Management: Stock backroom with meat products, rotating and dating cases and buckets.
- Supply Chain Coordination: Notify the meat manager if products and supplies need to be ordered.
- Team Collaboration: Work as a team with other departments and stores to achieve growth in Family Fare retail stores.
- Basic Math Skills: Understand basic functions of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Communication: Communicate tasks, recipes, weights, and measures, and cleaning steps completed to other associates.
- Adherence to Guidelines: Follow all PPE and safety guidelines, food safety and cleaning expectations, and guest experience guidelines.
- Additional Responsibilities: May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience needs.
- Education: High school diploma (GED) preferred.
- Experience: One year of retail or related experience preferred.
- Communication Skills: Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
- Mathematical Skills: Basic mathematical skills.
- Attention to Detail: Detail-oriented.

The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. Travel requirements vary by assignment.
