Key Responsibilities:- Assessment: Conduct thorough and accurate multi-system assessments of patients, including biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, education needs, and discharge planning needs.
- Planning: Develop individualized nursing plans of care that take into account the developmental needs of patients. Coordinate patient care activities and discharge planning with other hospital and clinic departments and community agencies.
- Implementation: Initiate appropriate measures based on protocol for the management of medical and/or surgical patients. Bases nursing care on protocol in place for management of each patient. Correctly carries out the physicians plan of care and accurately documents in the electronic medical record.
- Evaluation: Evaluates assessment methods, plan of care, and patient response to treatment. Participates in unit quality assurance activities.
- Experience: Minimum nine (9) months of RN experience.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- License, Certification, Registration: Registered Nurse License (in the state where care is provided) and Basic Life Support.
- Previous Health Care Experience: Previous experience in acute care or skilled nursing, utilizing the nursing process, effective problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Education: Bachelors degree in nursing or related field.
- Telemetry Experience: Experience in telemetry preferred.
- Med/Surg Certification: Med/Surg Certification preferred.
- Clinical Judgment: Demonstrated clinical judgment with a variety of chronic illnesses and diseases as well as surgical orthopedic patients preferred.
