Job Summary

MedStar Health is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide exceptional patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment. As a key member of the patient-centered care team, you will work closely with registered nurses and medical staff to deliver high-quality care to patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, and skin care.
  • Collect specimens, perform venipuncture/phlebotomy, and obtain EKGs as needed.
  • Accurately take and record patient vital signs, height, and weight, as well as other pertinent data.
  • Participate in patient/family teaching and respond to questions from patients and families in a prompt and courteous manner.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and safety of patient rooms and environments.

Requirements:

  • Completion of an approved nursing assistant certification program.
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification from the relevant authority.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certification preferred.
