Job Summary:

Johns Hopkins HealthCare is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant - CNA - Surgery to join our team in the Ortho Trauma General Surgery Unit. As a Nursing Assistant, you will work under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, taking into consideration the developmental needs of the patient, performs delegated duties related to the comfort and personal needs of the patients. These activities may include ADL(s), nutritional support, patient mobility, vital signs, changing beds, replenishing room supplies and assisting healthcare team with specific treatments and/or procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Perform delegated duties related to the comfort and personal needs of patients
• Assist with ADLs, nutritional support, patient mobility, vital signs, and changing beds
• Replenish room supplies and assist with specific treatments and/or procedures

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Active Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in Maryland
• Current BLS certification provided by AHA, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network
• Six months of recent patient care experience in a setting relevant to the unit
