Position Overview

Primrose School of West Woods is seeking a Culinary Educator who specializes in creating nutritious and delightful dishes for children. As a respected private preschool, we pride ourselves on delivering an exceptional educational experience for children from infancy through elementary age.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain awareness of children's dietary restrictions and allergies, providing suitable alternatives as needed.
  • Ensure that the food service area is free from allergens, particularly nuts, and verify compliance with food safety standards.
  • Adhere to the daily menu developed in collaboration with the school’s leadership.
  • Implement portion control standards for meals and snacks.
  • Adapt menus as directed, ensuring flexibility in meal preparation.
  • Prepare meals in a timely manner, ready for serving as scheduled.
  • Assist in food ordering and accurately calculate required quantities.
  • Keep the kitchen area organized, clean, and safe, maintaining equipment properly.
  • Participate in mandatory staff meetings, training sessions, and school events.
  • Exhibit a professional appearance in accordance with school guidelines.
  • Support other duties as assigned by the Director or designated personnel.
Qualifications:
  • Must comply with local childcare and food service regulations.
  • Ability to engage positively with young children is essential.
  • Experience in large-scale food preparation is preferred.
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 35 lbs. for child safety and program facilitation.
