- Integrate knowledge of 12-Step Programs and Principles into the therapeutic process and treatment plans.
- Effectively manage caseload, documentation requirements, and treatment delivery responsibilities.
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions for addictive disorders, tailored to meet patient needs.
- Facilitate specialty groups relevant to addiction treatment, promoting a supportive environment for patients.
- Perform conjoint family counseling, addressing codependency and the effects of addiction on families.
- Deliver basic education lectures and presentations on addiction treatment, enhancing patient understanding and engagement.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance, ensuring coherence, articulation, and responsiveness to patients' needs.
- Provide supervision, if assigned, and document according to policy and procedure.
- Collaborate effectively with co-workers, managers, clients, and prospective clients.
- Work in a constant state of alertness to ensure job performance in a safe manner.
- Master's Degree in Social or Behavioral Science is a must.
- Professional licensure required.
- Eligibility to apply for ALC, LPC, LMSW, LICSW, or LMFT licensure within 90 days of hire.
- Two years of hands-on experience in addictions treatment.
- LAADC 2 Preferred.
- Previous training and/or experience demonstrating competency with a special population (e.g., Adult or Adolescent).
- CPR certification is essential.
- Ability to function both emotionally and physically under stressful conditions.
- Strong record-keeping and communication skills.
