Job Title: Corrections Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Corrections Officer to join our team at the City of Puyallup, WA. As a Corrections Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and secure operation of our correctional facility, while also providing excellent customer service to our community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process prisoners into and out of the jail facility
  • Ensure the safekeeping of prisoners while in custody
  • Provide court room security as an armed court bailiff
  • Perform a variety of duties related to the effective operation of the city jail
Requirements:
  • Two years of corrections officer experience working for a city, county or state incarceration facility
  • Five years of patrol officer experience working for a city, county or state law enforcement agency
  • Successful completion of the Washington State Corrections Officers or Basic Law Enforcement Academies or a training program which is equal to the program offered by the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission
