COIT Cleaning & Restoration Services is seeking a meticulous and motivated individual to fill the role of a Fleet Mechanic. This position involves working within the company’s garage, managing a fleet of 43 vehicles and small engine cleaning units utilized for various cleaning services, including Carpet, Tile and Grout, and Air Duct cleaning. Additionally, the role encompasses essential repairs on small equipment such as cleaning wands, upholstery tools, and buffers.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct maintenance on vehicles and mechanical components, performing inspections and diagnostic tests to identify functionality issues, and executing minor repairs as necessary.
- Service vehicles in accordance with a preventive maintenance schedule, which includes rotating and balancing tires, changing oil and filters, lubricating vehicle parts, and inspecting and replacing hoses, belts, mirrors, and lamps.
- Maintain precise and updated records of all preventive maintenance activities.
- Evaluate the condition of vehicles and equipment, providing light service as required.
- Perform preventive maintenance on plant equipment following established schedules, troubleshooting mechanical issues and learning to identify and resolve them.
- Assist on-road personnel during breakdowns.
- Adhere to all relevant legislation and policies to ensure the safe operation of vehicles and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Candidates must demonstrate reliability, a customer-oriented mindset, and a willingness to collaborate within a team environment.
- Flexibility in working hours is required.
- A strong attention to detail and a positive attitude are essential.
- Excellent communication, listening, and mathematical skills are necessary.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively to support team objectives.
- Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs and performing various physical activities including sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
- A valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle record is required, along with a background check and drug screening.
