About the Role:

As a teacher at Primrose School of Thornton, you will play a vital role in creating a fun, safe, and nurturing environment that encourages children to explore and learn through purposeful play. You will work closely with our experienced leadership team to develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the unique needs and abilities of each child. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing a safe and stimulating environment that promotes social, emotional, cognitive, creative, and physical development in children.
  • Assessing each child's developmental needs and implementing individualized plans to support their growth and progress.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with our Balanced Learning approach.
  • Building strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to create a positive and supportive community.
  • Maintaining a well-organized and attractive classroom that encourages children to create, explore, and make decisions with confidence.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • A degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a licensed early childhood program, preferably in a leadership or teaching role.
  • Knowledge of child development theories and practices.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
