Job Title: Occupational Therapist

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team in Coronado, California.

Job Summary:

As an Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients under the direction and supervision of the Rehabilitation Services team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate patients to determine the nature and extent of dysfunction.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to achieve established goals.
  • Initiate discharge planning for occupational therapy.
  • Implement the treatment program through direct treatment of the patient.
  • Delegate a portion of the treatment program to supportive personnel as needed.
  • Coordinate the treatment program with other healthcare professionals.
  • Provide education and advice to patients and families.
  • Regularly assess clinical signs and symptoms to determine the effectiveness of treatment.
  • Discharge patients from occupational therapy when they have received maximum benefit.
  • Document patient management accurately and in a timely manner.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy curriculum with a bachelor's or master's degree and certification in occupational therapy.
  • Basic Life Support certification required at hire.
  • National Provider Identifier required at hire.
  • Current CA Occupational Therapy License or license eligibility letter prior to the first day of employment.
  • Ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Pediatric experience preferred.
  • AP Swallow certification preferred.
