Occupational Therapist

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our Rehabilitation Services team in Coronado, California.
Job Summary:As an Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for evaluating patients, interpreting evaluation findings, and establishing treatment goals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Evaluate patients to determine the nature and extent of dysfunction.
- Develop and implement treatment plans to achieve established goals.
- Initiate discharge planning for occupational therapy.
- Implement the treatment program through direct treatment of the patient.
- Delegate a portion of the treatment program to supportive personnel as needed.
- Coordinate treatment with other healthcare professionals.
- Provide advice and education to patients and families.
- Regularly assess clinical signs and symptoms to determine treatment effectiveness.
- Discharge patients from occupational therapy when maximum benefit has been achieved.
- Document patient management accurately and in a timely manner.
- Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy curriculum with a bachelor's or master's degree and certification in occupational therapy.
- Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
- Current CA Occupational Therapy License or license eligibility letter prior to employment.
This is an eight-hour shift, two weekends per month, with the possibility of schedule changes based on operational needs.
