Job SummaryWe are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at GEO Secure Services. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing medical care to inmates and detainees, working closely with our Registered Nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest level of care.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans, in collaboration with the Registered Nurse and other healthcare professionals.
- Conduct thorough physical assessments and medical histories, identifying potential health risks and developing strategies for prevention and intervention.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
- Monitor patients' symptoms, reactions, and progress, reporting any concerns or issues to management.
- Document all patient interactions and medical records, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, with a current, unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state where the facility is located.
- Two (2) years of direct work experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse, preferably in a correctional or healthcare setting.
- Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and as part of a team to provide comprehensive care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and management.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Frequently: Lift or carry and push/pull up to 40 lbs.; walk, stand, sit, bend, stoop, and reach above shoulder level.
- Occasionally: Lift or carry and push/pull up to 60 lbs.; work with machinery and climb.
