About the Role

Tate, Inc. is a leading provider of innovative solutions for the built environment. We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Technician 1 to join our team at our new manufacturing facility in Russell County, Virginia.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and growing organization, where you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular testing and inspections to ensure that all products meet our high standards of quality.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that all test equipment is properly maintained and calibrated to ensure accurate results.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with the production team to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and quality.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all testing and inspections, including certified testing reports.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with the production team, supervisors, and other stakeholders to ensure that quality issues are addressed promptly.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Three (3) plus years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on quality control.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted, and stand, walk, bend, stoop or crouch for at least an 8-hour shift.
