Key Responsibilities
  • Greet customers and respond to their inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Receive and verify prescriptions, including PMP checks on controlled substances, to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Process prescriptions electronically and ensure all necessary information is complete and accurate.
  • Resolve issues related to rejected insurance claims and other prescription-related problems.
  • Select and measure medications to fill prescriptions, and sort, stock, and label medication as needed.
  • Monitor inventory levels and perform administrative tasks as assigned.
  • Participate in the prior authorization process and process third-party billing claims.
  • Assist customers with obtaining over-the-counter medications and provide support at the point of sale.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician, with a strong background in customer service.
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB) required.
