Analyze data and prepare recommendations, summaries, and cost estimates for senior engineers and managers.

Draft technical reports to document engineering analyses and findings.

Conduct feasibility assessments for proposed systems and equipment.

Assist senior engineers in evaluating design and development plans and cost estimates.

Assess engineering solutions, equipment, and specifications.

Serve as a technical mentor to junior staff assigned to projects.

Coordinate and communicate effectively with colleagues across various disciplines and receive guidance from project leads.

Participate actively in design and construction project team meetings.

Implement quality assurance procedures during the design phase (e.g., Design Criteria submissions, Design Checklists, Interdisciplinary Coordination Schedules).

Propose innovative solutions to design challenges.

Perform load calculations, detailed engineering design, compliance analysis, and prepare relevant reports.

Edit standard material and construction specifications to align with project requirements as part of project specification preparation.

Demonstrate the ability to implement designs in a BIM environment.

May act as a field engineer during construction by conducting site visits and preparing written reports of observations.

Other responsibilities as assigned.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Minimum of 3 - 6 years of experience in mechanical engineering within a consulting or design-build environment.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment with various project deadlines.

General understanding of contract and construction documentation.

Familiarity with codes, standards, and engineering/construction processes.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, Revit, and other engineering analysis and compliance software tools.

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Professional Engineer (PE) Certification is preferred.

LEED Accreditation is a plus.

Essential Skills

* Highly proficient in Trace 700

* Strong knowledge of State and local Building Codes

* Proficient in Revit and BIM 360

* Familiarity with Energy Pro
