This position is for evening shifts with a Saturday rotation. As a Specialty Ambulatory Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe, effective, and financially responsible use of medications in the Medical Center.
Key Responsibilities- Enter prescribing clinician orders into the appropriate computer application.
- Process prescribing clinician's orders (prescriptions).
- Oversee pharmacy technicians' work.
- Provide drug information to patients, caregivers, and providers.
- Perform pharmacy functions according to Federal, State, local Health System, and Department statutes, regulations, and published guideline documents.
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- No experience required.
- Commonwealth of Virginia State Board of Pharmacy License.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
The job requires standing and traveling for prolonged periods. You must be proficient in communicative, auditory, and visual skills, with attention to detail and the ability to write legibly. You may be exposed to chemicals.
