VIA Metro Transit is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Procurement Division, you will be responsible for administering complex contracts and ensuring compliance with VIA's Procurement Policies and Procedures, as well as Federal, State, and Local Laws.
Key Responsibilities- Administer complex contracts in professional services, goods, services, and construction
- Solicit, receive, analyze, and monitor bids, quotes, and proposals
- Conduct pre-bid and pre-proposal conferences, public bid openings, and negotiations with potential contractors
- Represent VIA's Procurement Division at outreach seminars and conferences
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field
- Minimum of two years' experience in public procurement or related areas, including contract administration experience
- Familiarity with Public Procurement Acts/Statutes and Federal Transit Administration requirements highly preferred
