Job Summary

The Clinical Social Worker is a vital member of the interdisciplinary team at Steward Health Care, providing essential social work services to patients and families in the Psychiatric department.

This role requires a Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution and a strong foundation in organizational and communication skills. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities include providing individual and group counseling, supporting patients and families, conducting diagnostic evaluations and psycho-social assessments, and collaborating with clinical teams to develop comprehensive care plans.

The successful candidate will be a licensed LCSW or LMHC with a passion for delivering exceptional patient care and a strong commitment to the values of Steward Health Care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling/therapy to patients and/or their families
  • Support and advocate for patients
  • Provide diagnostic evaluations and psycho-social assessments
  • Place referrals for follow-up services
  • Collaborate with clinical interdisciplinary teams
  • Facilitate continuing care plans
  • Provide crisis prevention
  • Supervise/train other social workers and graduate students

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution
  • LCSW or LMHC licensure
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills
