Overview of the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Yard Jockey to join our team at Carlisle Construction Materials in Carlisle, PA. The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $80,000 per year. This role plays a vital part in the daily operations of our company, supporting the shipping, receiving, and production processes by efficiently moving transportation equipment.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Drive Jockey Trucks: Safely navigate jockey trucks within the yard to optimize trailer movement.
  • Inspect and Maintain Equipment: Regularly inspect and report any damage or needed repairs to your supervisor to ensure equipment is in good working order.
  • Load and Unload Trailers: Secure units onto trailers using strap and edge protectors, occasionally tarping loads when required.

Requirements:

  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL): Possess a valid Class A or B CDL with a clean driving record.
  • English Proficiency: Speak and read English fluently to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.
  • DOT Medical Card: Hold a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card.
