Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Pastry Cook III to join our culinary team at The Ritz-Carlton Maui Kapalua. This individual will be responsible for preparing and cooking food according to recipes, quality, and presentation standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food before use.
• Safely and appropriately use baking and measuring tools/equipment/appliances to prepare baked foods.
• Follow and ensure compliance with food safety handling policies and procedures, including personal hygiene procedures.
• Check and ensure correct temperatures of kitchen appliances and food, and report issues to management.
• Wash and disinfect kitchen area; set-up and break-down work station; and follow and ensure compliance with sanitation and cleaning procedures.
• Monitor the quality of food prepared and portions served throughout shift.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
• Less than 1-year related work experience preferred.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No license or certification required.

Working Conditions: Our team members must be able to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods. They must also be able to lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.

Compensation: The estimated salary range for this position is $26,000 - $30,240 per year, based on a 40-hour workweek and assuming 52 weeks worked annually. Please note that salaries may vary depending on location, experience, and other factors.
