Agricultural Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Agricultural Specialist to join our team at Helena Agri-Enterprises, LLC. As a key member of our agronomy solutions team, you will be responsible for applying herbicides and pesticides to labeled crops, operating and maintaining applicator equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities- Mix and apply pesticides, fertilizers, and chemicals to crops in accordance with recommendations and safety guidelines.
- Operate and maintain applicator equipment, including tractors and sprayers, to ensure efficient and effective crop treatment.
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration on application equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Document and record application activities, including acreage treated and chemicals used.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain pesticide applicator certification and stay up-to-date on industry best practices.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless execution of crop protection programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor, including equipment maintenance and repair.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in agronomy, agriculture, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in agricultural equipment operation and maintenance, or related field.
- Class A or B CDL required; must be at least 18 years old to operate company equipment and/or drive company vehicles.
- Must pass a background check and drug test.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to work nights, weekends, and overtime during peak seasons.
- Qualified Applicator Certificate (QAC) or equivalent certification.
- Experience with precision agriculture technologies and equipment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and interpret field maps and use tractor-mounted field computers.
- Basic knowledge of agricultural pesticides and their safe handling.
