Our radiation oncology program is certified by the American College of Radiation Oncology, ensuring the highest standards of care for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
Primarily and professionally engaged in the evaluation, delivery, and optimization of therapeutic applications of ionizing radiation, and the equipment associated with their production, use, and measurement. This role involves clinical and educational components, including radiation safety duties for regulatory compliance and safe use of ionizing radiation. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Performing and overseeing calibrations, quality assurance monitoring, acceptance testing, and commissioning for all radiation oncology simulation, planning, and treatment equipment.
• Overseeing the maintenance and repairs of simulation and radiation treatment units, ensuring they are released for clinical use following service.
• Reviewing treatment plan calculations and data input into records, verifying system accuracy as performed by physics and technical employees.
• Performing and overseeing external beam and brachytherapy treatment plans, working closely with radiation oncologists and dosimetrists to optimize radiation dose distribution in patients.
• Evaluating and/or implementing new programs and treatment techniques for radiation oncology.

Requirements
• Master's Degree in Radiological or Medical Physics required upon hire.
• Two years of experience as a Therapeutic Medical Physicist in a clinical setting, including machine calibrations and radiation oncology treatment planning and dose calculations.
• CRT - Medical Physics, American Board of Radiology (ABR) or American Board of Medical Physics (ABMP) required within the first three years.

Working Conditions
This is a full-time position with a standard day shift schedule, working 40 hours per week from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, with variable weekend frequency.
