Position Overview:
  • Engages in both direct and indirect patient care tasks under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
  • Supports patients with daily living activities, ensuring personal care, comfort, and a safe, clean environment for a designated group of patients.
  • Exhibits respect, dignity, kindness, and empathy in all patient interactions.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Administers general patient care including bathing, oral hygiene, dressing, and bed maintenance.
  • Assists with patient positioning, lifting, turning, and the use of specialized equipment, as well as supporting bowel and bladder functions and ambulation.
  • Prepares and serves meals to patients, manages dietary trays, and accurately records intake and output.
  • Adheres to instructions, collaborates effectively with team members, and develops skills in fundamental patient care practices and documentation.
  • Participates in educational programs to enhance and acquire new treatment techniques, procedures, and clinical competencies.
  • Performs additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
  • Must be certified as a Nurse Assistant in the state of practice.
  • Proficient in reading and communicating effectively in English.
  • Completion of state-approved courses and successful passing of the Certified Nurse Assistant examination.
  • Current CPR certification is required.
Special Skills:
Possesses basic mathematical abilities.

Experience:
Demonstrates a successful work history.
