Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Education Assistant to join our team at the George Washington School in Hackensack, NJ. As an Education Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal development of our students.
Key Responsibilities
- Classroom Support: Assist teachers with all aspects of classroom responsibilities, including supervision of students during the school day.
- Student Care: Provide quality daily care and supervision of students, promoting a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Learning Centers: Assist with learning centers and other designated classroom activities, under the supervision of the teacher.
- Student Development: Support students' development and trust in adults through the use of positive reinforcement and praise.
- Professional Development: Attend all school in-services and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; 60+ college credits or a Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Experience: Teacher aid experience preferred; Sub Cert preferred.
