PreOp/PACU RN Job Description

Cascade Spine Center is seeking a skilled PreOp/PACU RN to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality patient care according to established standards, considering patient age and risk factors.
  • Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  • Follow policies, procedures, and accepted standards for pre- and post-operative nursing care.
  • Organize and prepare medical records, documenting care and following up on missing data.
  • Maintain current skills and knowledge in intravenous therapy, medication administration, patient assessment, and other clinical competencies.
  • Use nursing judgment in decision-making and act as a patient advocate.
  • Perform patient assessment and reassessment, documenting these assessments as a basis for planning care.
  • Communicate nursing interventions and patient responses to responsible practitioners and document care according to standards of practice.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (associates or bachelor's degree).
  • Minimum of two (2) years total RN experience.
  • Current Oregon License as a Registered Nurse.
  • Current BLS & ACLS.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs and medical software programs such as Advantx, Amkai, or Epic.
  • Full range of physical mobility and ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
