Your Role
The Threat Analytic Systems (QAI) Group is seeking skilled professionals who can contribute as part of a team to design, develop, test, document, and sustain software applications that deliver significant capabilities. You will integrate software engineering principles with cutting-edge research to create rapid prototypes and evolve them into robust product solutions.
As a valued team member, you will:
- Architect, develop, test, and deploy software solutions in a dynamic and fast-paced setting.
- Engage with users to comprehend their workflows and gather requirements effectively.
- Facilitate design reviews to collect feedback on system architecture, integration, and testing processes.
- Document and present findings on ongoing research and development initiatives.
- Explore innovative methods to enhance task efficiency and document software methodologies.
- Build relationships across various organizational levels to foster collaboration.
Qualifications
You will meet our essential criteria if you possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
- Over seven (7+) years of experience in software development with a high-level programming language, particularly Java.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Proven experience as a technical lead on software projects.
- Experience in web development utilizing modern JavaScript frameworks (ReactJS, Angular, etc.), web services, and software architecture design and development.
- Comfort in working with loosely defined or high-level requirements.
- A creative approach to identifying customer needs and applying relevant methods, tools, and concepts to address those needs, including setting requirements and defining architecture.
- Experience with non-relational databases (e.g., MongoDB, CouchDB, HBase) focusing on query optimization, database design, and scalability.
- A successful track record of collaboration within a team environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- An active TS/SCI level security clearance, with eligibility requirements including U.S. citizenship.
Preferred Qualifications
You will exceed our basic requirements if you have:
- A Master’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
- Experience in Agile software development methodologies.
- Familiarity with information retrieval techniques.
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Postgres).
- Experience working with Department of Defense and/or Intelligence Community clients.
