Youth Leadership and Development Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as an APG Student Leadership Development Specialist. This is a full-time, non-exempt position that requires a strong commitment to youth development and leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Support the APG Student Government by communicating with school administrators and teachers, recruiting students, and coordinating events.
- Implement a youth leadership lunch club that meets weekly, providing structure and support for students to develop their leadership skills.
- Coordinate with the PTSA and Counseling team to market and vote on student designs for APG gear.
- Make weekly PA announcements and coordinate with school administration to plan and implement PA events.
- Manage the Events Committee, Snack Shack, and Volunteer Outreach programs.
- Track budgets and maintain accurate records.
- Associate Degree or 48 or more college units, or pass the Instructional Aide exam.
- Must pass a criminal background check and TB test clearance.
- Able to work every day during after-school hours and commit to a full academic school year.
- General knowledge base of core elementary and middle school subjects.
- Strong classroom and behavioral management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to communicate openly and professionally with students, parents, community partners, and after-school and school-day staff.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate a high degree of integrity.
- Ability to lift and carry 25 pounds.
- Ability to travel to required meetings and have a clean driving record and insurance if using a personal vehicle.
- Ability to work with Excel/Microsoft Office and Web-based programs.
- Ability to perform basic administrative tasks and keep detailed records.
- Cantonese or Mandarin speakers a plus, but not necessary.
- CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to receive training).
- Paid BACR Holidays.
