Job Title: House Supervisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced House Supervisor to join our team at V R Della Infotech Inc. The successful candidate will provide leadership, coordination, and integration of healthcare services, supervising safety, service, and quality of care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage patient care provided by department personnel in assigned areas.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to ensure patients and families receive an optimum level of care.
  • Coordinate admission and transfer of patients, applying InterQual criteria.
  • Make rounds on all nursing units and assist with activities related to patient care.
  • Arrange for emergency surgery, interpret and follow hospital policies and procedures.
  • Promote intra-departmental cooperation and provide services of other departments in their absence.
  • Complete training to follow protocol for organ donation.
  • Assign unit staffing and assess/monitor unit-based productivity.
  • Promote the goals and philosophy of Bozeman Health, acting as a leader, role model, mentor, and innovator.
  • Monitor unit activities, respond to customer concerns, and assure adequate staffing with knowledge of patient needs and unit standards.
  • Act as a liaison between physician and patient care team, activating medical staff chain of command when indicated.
  • Exercise authority for staff disciplinary action as needed.

Requirements:

  • Current Montana licensure (Registered Nurse)
  • American Heart Association BLS
  • American Heart Association ACLS
  • Three (3) years experience in clinic or acute care
  • Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing, American Heart Association PALS, Trauma Nursing Care Coordinator

Working Conditions:

  • Lifting, pushing, and pulling: support 50 pounds of weight, lift 50 pounds, carry equipment/supplies.
  • Extended hours: work for eight or more hours daily, sitting, walking, or standing.
  • Flexible schedule: work beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts.
  • On-call availability: respond to organizational and patient needs promptly.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a busy and stressful environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Exercises tact, discretion, sensitivity, and maintains confidentiality.
  • Computer applications, MS Office, EMR, internet applications, and standard office equipment.
  • Detail-oriented, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize.
  • Strong emotional intelligence, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.

Special Requirements:

  • Exposure to bloodborne pathogens, radiation, chemicals, and medications used in healthcare settings.
  • Emotionally challenging situations, such as dealing with distressed patients or difficult family interactions.

Shift: Weekends and holidays required, variable schedule based on needs of the department.
