Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Preparing patients for imaging procedures, explaining the processes involved, and ensuring the equipment is set up correctly for timely examinations.
  • Obtaining consent for IV contrast materials and screening patients for pregnancy.
  • Conducting a variety of CT procedures, including but not limited to abdominal, thoracic, and neurological exams.
  • Positioning patients accurately on the examination table and adjusting settings for optimal imaging results.
  • Collaborating with Radiologists to modify imaging parameters as necessary within established protocols.
  • Utilizing protective devices to minimize radiation exposure to sensitive areas.
  • Adjusting CT equipment to capture the required field of view and transmitting images to Radiologists using Tele-Radiology systems.
  • Administering intravenous and oral contrast agents as per Radiologist directives and performing necessary venipuncture.
  • Providing clear explanations to patients regarding the administration of IV contrast and completing necessary documentation.
  • Recognizing and assisting in the management of any reactions to contrast agents.
  • Carrying out other related duties as assigned, with all responsibilities considered essential functions of the role.
