Assist Ambulance is actively seeking both seasoned and newly certified Paramedics to enhance our dedicated team at our Bronx location. As a reputable New York City EMS provider, we deliver comprehensive emergency medical and transportation services across the five boroughs. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced life support and basic life support during emergency and non-emergency ambulance transports.
- Collaborate with healthcare facilities, including hospitals and nursing homes, to ensure optimal patient care.
- Demonstrate professionalism and compassion while interacting with patients and their families.
Qualifications:
- Possession of a valid NY State EMT-P certification; NYC REMAC - NREMT certification is not sufficient on its own.
- Applicants must be at least 20 years of age and possess a minimum of one year of driving experience in New York City.
- A valid, clean NYS D Class driver's license is required; DJ licenses are not acceptable.
- Physical capability to lift 125 lbs. in compliance with NYS DOH standards and successfully pass a lifting assessment.
- Ability to obtain 19A physical clearance and a negative PPD test (vouchers provided).
- Successful completion of a 10-panel drug screening, including THC, is mandatory (strict no tolerance policy).
- Commitment to at least two consistent 8-hour shifts weekly.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
- Criminal history will be evaluated in accordance with the New York City Fair Chance Act.
