We are seeking an exceptional leader to serve as Division Chief of Pediatric Hospital Medicine at CHRISTUS Children's, a renowned institution in pediatric care. The successful candidate will lead a team of 11 pediatric hospital medicine physicians and oversee the division's growth and development.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for quality patient care, and a commitment to research and education. They will be responsible for developing long-range plans, recommending appointments and promotions, and stimulating research studies.
The Division Chief will also be responsible for managing budgets and maintaining positive financial performance for the division. A strong track record of administrative leadership and mentoring junior faculty is highly desired.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional leadership to the division, fostering a culture of excellence in patient care, quality, and research.
- Develop and implement long-range plans to drive the division's growth and success.
- Recommend appointments and promotions to the Chair of Pediatrics, ensuring the division's continued excellence.
- Stimulate and support research studies, promoting innovation and advancement in pediatric hospital medicine.
- Manage budgets and financial performance, ensuring the division's financial stability and success.
The successful candidate will be board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Hospital Medicine, with eligibility for academic rank at Baylor College of Medicine. A strong track record of clinical care, quality, teaching, team building, and scholarly achievements is required.
The Division Chief will be responsible for overseeing the division of pediatric hospital medicine and developing an outstanding team of physicians to follow the vision of the division.
Experience in administrative leadership and mentoring junior faculty is highly desired.
