Job Title: Mental Health Advocate

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Advocate to join our team at The Women's Center Massachusetts. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide individual and group trauma-informed therapy to children and adolescents who have experienced domestic violence, physical or sexual abuse, or neglect.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct initial contact with clients within 24 hours of being assigned the case.
  • Provide individual therapy sessions to address mental health and promote healing.
  • Identify and prioritize clients' self-identified case management and counseling needs.
  • Develop customized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and their families.
  • Utilize evidence-based treatment modalities, including trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy and sensory motor arousal regulation treatment.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and holistic care for clients.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and progress notes.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in social work, counseling, or psychology.
  • License to practice as a mental health professional in Massachusetts.
  • Three years' experience providing trauma-focused therapy to children and adolescents in a domestic violence or sexual assault setting.
