Job Title: Lead Direct Support Staff

Job Summary:

The Lead Direct Support Staff is a critical role within our organization, responsible for ensuring the highest level of care and support for our residents. This position requires a unique blend of leadership skills, technical knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct care and support to residents, including assistance with daily living activities, medication administration, and recreational activities.
  • Supervise and train direct support staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care.
  • Develop and implement resident-centered care plans, taking into account individual needs and preferences.
  • Collaborate with the Manager to ensure effective staffing patterns, scheduling, and emergency coverage.
  • Oversee the maintenance of resident records, including data collection and medical documentation.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices and industry developments.

Requirements:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in a related field (e.g., social work, psychology, healthcare administration).
  • Medication certification and First Aid/CPR training.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, staff, and external partners.
  • Ability to lift, bend, and move residents as needed, with a focus on safety and resident well-being.
  • Valid Connecticut Driver License and eligibility for Network Human Services' insurance.

Working Hours:

Full-time position, 36.5 hours per week, with varying shifts including evenings and weekends.
