Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cafeteria Staff Member to join our team at Whitsons Culinary Group. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the highest quality of food and beverages to our students and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and serving of food and beverages to students and staff.
- Perform cleaning duties, including sweeping and mopping of floors, cleaning of equipment and work areas, dishwashing and pot washing.
- Brew coffee, fill beverage machines, and set up hot and/or cold food areas.
- Deliver food to staff, students, and catering events as needed.
- Prepare and serve food according to menus and recipes.
- Check and store incoming supplies.
- Collect and strip trays for dishwashing.
- Store silverware, dishes, glasses, cups, pots, and other equipment.
- Participate in safety committee meetings and attend all mandatory in-service programs.
- Support the goals, objectives, and mission statement of Whitsons Culinary Group.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Ability to speak and read English in order to understand and perform job assignments.
- Extensive physical demands, including lifting up to 50lbs, bending, pushing, and pulling.
- Exposure to extreme temperatures due to cooking and refrigeration equipment.
- Ability to present a positive and professional image at all times.
- Basic English reading and writing skills.
- Able to pass background screening.
