About the Role:

Datadog is seeking a seasoned and skilled Senior Solutions Architect to enhance our expanding team. In this pivotal role, you will deliver technical insights through sales presentations, product showcases, industry conferences, executive discussions, and product assessments.

Your expertise will be vital in grasping customer requirements and illustrating the advantages of our platform to potential clients, ensuring a smooth transition from sales to implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cultivate and maintain an in-depth understanding of Datadog's product suite, observability trends, and common architectures, providing guidance to prospective clients and internal sales teams.

• Play a crucial role in the success of strategic sales initiatives by collaborating closely with the account team to develop and enhance sales strategies, offer industry insights, and provide mentorship throughout the sales process.

• Deliver customized customer demonstrations, executive briefings, and product training sessions as required, ensuring that potential clients have a thorough understanding of our offerings.

• Contribute valuable use cases, best practices, trends, and product positioning to Datadog's sales strategy, and assist in formulating strategies for entering new markets.

• Collaborate with account teams to build strong relationships with customers (CIOs, CTOs, Architects, Technical staff, and business representatives) as they embark on their observability modernization journey with Datadog.

• Actively engage and communicate with customers and Datadog's product, sales, and sales engineering teams regarding product feedback and the competitive landscape.


Who You Are:

• A professional with at least 7+ years of experience in Sales Engineering or as a Chief Technology Officer implementing observability and security technologies.

• Possess strong entrepreneurial skills and a desire to make a significant impact.

• Passionate about educating clients on observability and security challenges that are relevant to their business, with the ability to develop and execute evaluation plans with customers.

• Knowledgeable about the competitive landscape, including solutions capabilities and offerings.

• Experienced in programming/scripting with languages such as Java, Python, Ruby, Go, Node.js, PHP, and .NET.

• Have a robust background in Enterprise positioning and value-based selling.

• Willing to travel via auto, train, or air up to 40% of the time.
