About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Modelling and Simulation Engineer to join our team at The MITRE Corporation. As a key member of our Globally Contested Logistics and Supply Chain department, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing advanced analytical capabilities to support our nation's defence and security needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply a range of analytical techniques, including data mining, statistical modelling, predictive analytics, and optimisation, to tackle complex challenges in logistics and supply chain management.
  • Contribute to the development, testing, and evaluation of advanced analytic capabilities, including the design and implementation of prototypes in various environments.
  • Build and test software applications, user interfaces, and databases to drive advances in mission capabilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address critical supply chain and logistics vulnerabilities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience, or an advanced degree with relevant experience.
  • Active Secret clearance.
  • Proficiency in programming languages, such as Python, C/C++, Java, and experience with commonly used analytic tools, such as SAS, MATLAB, R, and database languages, such as SQL.
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience working with the Department of Defence.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop software applications, user interfaces, databases, and embedded software.
