Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement and Inventory Management
    • Receive and process produce shipments in a timely manner, prioritizing tasks to ensure maximum shelf life of all products.
    • Accurately notate invoices with quantity counts, credits, and special orders.
    • Maintain accurate inventory levels and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Store Operations
    • Stock and cull the produce department regularly to maintain visual appeal and ensure freshness.
    • Effectively communicate with colleagues and management regarding inventory levels, product availability, and any issues that may arise.
    • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the produce department and back stock areas.
  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
    • Ensure all products are properly labeled and priced, and that the store environment is clean and welcoming.
  • Vendor Relations
    • Maintain positive relationships with produce vendors, communicating effectively and resolving any issues that may arise.
    • Source new vendors and products to enhance the store's offerings and improve customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a produce department or related field.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
