Medical Support Specialist

As a Medical Assistant at Beaufort Jasper, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare services.
- Manage patient communication, including phone calls, scheduling, and check-in processes.
- Assist with referral processing and arrange laboratory services as needed.
- Prepare patients for examination, take vital signs, and record health history.
- Set up EKG machines and perform routine specimen collection and tests.
- Prepare equipment and examination rooms, and maintain cleanliness of instruments.
- Support physicians with medical treatments, procedures, and exams.
- Manage medical supplies and ensure exam rooms are equipped with necessary items.
Requirements for Medical Assistant
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a medical assistance certification program preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized with a strong grasp of medical practices and administrative processes.
- Knowledge of patient care and examination procedures.
