Position: Shop Service Technician

Location: Wixom

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Shop Service Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and performing maintenance on equipment according to standard procedures in an efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance
    • Diagnose and repair equipment to ensure optimal performance
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failure
  • Rental Fleet Management
    • Inspect and prepare rental equipment for delivery
    • Repair and maintain rental equipment to ensure it is in good working condition
  • Load Bank Maintenance
    • Perform maintenance and repair tasks on load banks up to 2 meg
  • Communication and Customer Service
    • Communicate effectively with Dispatch and internal/external customers
    • Provide excellent customer service to ensure complete satisfaction
  • Training and Education
    • Train and educate customers on equipment use and product value
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Maintain accurate records of services performed, expenses, and billable hours
Requirements
  • Education
    • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience
    • 2+ years of experience in repair, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of generators, engines, or related equipment
    • Experience with Generac, Cummins, Onan, Kohler, and/or Cat preferred
  • Licenses and Certifications
    • Valid driver's license required
