Job Summary:

This Travel Nurse RN position is a 13-week assignment in a 20-bed medical/surgical unit transitioning to neurology. You will be responsible for caring for patients with a variety of conditions, including MS, AKI, UTI, PNA, falls, and CVA. Your duties will include administering IV pumps, teleremote, drips, infusions, phlebotomy/venipuncture, starting IVs, transports, and assisting with ICU transfers.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and documenting patient information.
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient unit operations.
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Float to like units when necessary to ensure adequate staffing and patient care.
Requirements:
  • Current NYS license required; screening available without license.
  • BLS (AHA or American Red Cross) certification required; can be obtained before start date if necessary.
  • Minimum two years of specialty experience required; prior travel experience preferred but not required.
Orientation Logistics:
  • RN/LPN orientations are biweekly, with a specific schedule for ER RN and other RN/LPN.
  • Please note: Attire includes navy scrubs and compliance with dress code policies (no artificial or gel nails, etc.).
