Internal Auditor

As a Truist Internal Auditor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity of our financial systems and processes. Your responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the completion and documentation of risk-based internal audit assurance activities
- Interpreting the results of audit work performed, determining internal control weaknesses, and making value-added recommendations
- Preparing for and leading effective client interviews and documenting interview results via narratives, flowcharts, and process maps for complex business processes
- Identifying internal control weaknesses, including risks, and root cause
- Communicating audit issues identified to Management and the Engagement Manager
- Identifying and analyzing risks and evaluating how the line of business controls the risks
- Continuing to develop internal audit skills
- Gaining knowledge of the organization, operations, policies, and procedures (including banking laws and regulations) under which Truist operates
- Creating work papers in line with Truist Audit Services procedures and documentation requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or a related field or equivalent education and related training or experience
- Two to four years of banking, auditing, or other relevant experience related to the area of responsibility
- Basic knowledge of audit principles, practices, and methodologies, including risk assessment, and audit documentation
- Good aptitude for learning analytical, audit, and/or facilitation skills
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
- Possess knowledge of Truist Audit Services audit software and business-specific software
