Construction Site Manager

Under the direction of the Operations and Project Manager, the Site Supervisor will oversee, plan, coordinate, schedule, and manage all facets of operations. This includes organizing staff shift schedules, delegating tasks to Operators, addressing daily concerns that arise with the Operators, ensuring that client data and reports are accurately recorded and submitted in a timely manner, and confirming that scheduled daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance is performed. Additionally, this role involves resolving any personnel or capability challenges that may hinder the successful completion of customer orders. The Site Supervisor will also assist plant operators with their daily responsibilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the procurement, organization, and installation of existing or new project components.
- Lead the operations and maintenance team, developing, planning, and tracking progress on capital projects.
- Diagnose plant issues and devise solutions with input from both the client and the site supervisor.
- Coordinate with lead shift operators to establish and communicate production objectives, aligning on client testing, requests, and maintenance needs.
- Accountable for assigning tasks to crews with the assistance of the Project Manager, generating prioritized lists of daily tasks and objectives that need to be achieved.
- During construction, retrofits, downtime, and other non-operational conditions, prioritize and manage operations, maintenance, and logistics staff in collaboration with Wood and Client Project managers to maximize the skillsets of available team members and third-party contractors, ensuring timely, safe, cost-effective, and high-quality outcomes.
- Exemplify leadership by committing to a strong safety culture that is integral to being a Wood employee, every day.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, policies, procedures, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), operating and maintenance manuals, and facility schematics/drawings.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Attention to detail is crucial for this role (data capture, recording, and reporting).
- Good note-taking skills, a calm demeanor, and a willingness to learn new and exciting skills.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug test, background check, and fit test.
- Must possess a clean driving record and a valid driver's license.
