SECURITY CLEARANCE:

  • Applicants must be eligible for a Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, develop, and fabricate significant units, devices, or systems.
  • Conduct experiments and tests to validate designs.
  • Analyze results, modifying equipment to enhance performance based on established guidelines.
  • Create designs for equipment with challenging performance criteria.
  • Evaluate technical data to address design challenges; select optimal layouts and prepare detailed specifications and estimates.
  • Review and assess drawings to ensure design adequacy; assist in planning performance evaluations.
  • Determine testing requirements and develop test procedures.
  • Utilize various instruments to conduct tests.
  • Analyze and interpret test results, preparing comprehensive reports on findings.
  • Manage complex assignments, overseeing projects of limited scope or segments of larger initiatives, coordinating with relevant personnel to resolve issues.
  • Provide training and support to junior technicians.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Six (6) years of relevant experience with a degree or formal training, or ten (10) years of practical experience with a high school diploma or GED, including design and modification of engineering documents.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology, Mathematics, or Science; formal electronics training from a technical school or military program; or completion of a four-year electronics apprenticeship.
