Job Summary

Covenant Health (Tennessee) is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Respiratory Care Practitioner Trainee to join our team. As a Respiratory Care Practitioner Trainee, you will work under the supervision of a Respiratory Therapist to perform treatment and monitoring procedures as specified in the position-specific competencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform treatment and monitoring procedures as specified in the position-specific competencies.
  • Work under the supervision of a Respiratory Therapist to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of vital signs, oxygen therapy devices, pulse oximetry, and other respiratory care equipment.
  • Administer nebulizer treatments, metered dose inhalers, and bronchial hygiene therapy.
  • Provide comprehensive shift reports and communicate effectively with healthcare providers.
  • Responsible for charting and documentation in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Enrolled in a COARC-accredited respiratory care educational program.
  • No previous experience required.
  • State of Maine Respiratory Care Trainee License.
  • BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
